Base Jam Kembali Mengukir Rindu Lewat Mini Album Terbaru Berjudul 3[6]0

Urbannews | Bagi generasi tahun 1990-an pasti sudah tak asing dengan grup band Base Jam. Band yang terkenal dengan lagu “Bukan Pujangga” ini sempat mengalami pasang surut karena keluarnya beberapa personel aslinya. Bahkan, sempat pula puasa kreativitas juga vakum manggung.

Tahun 2024 ini, Base Jam yang kini menginjak usia 30 tahun kembali mengepakan sayap untuk terbang tinggi masuk dalam keriuhan belantika musik di tanah air. Dengan formasi 6 personil, yaitu: Oni & Aris pada gitar, Sigit dan Alvin pada vocal, Sita pada bass dan Alsa pada drum. Base Jam kembali hadir dengan mini-album ke-8 sepanjang karirnya yang berjudul, 3[6]0 (Tiga Enam Puluh).

“Ketika kami berdiskusi memikirkan apa judul album ini, kami sudah tahu akan menjadi sebuah cerita. Tetapi ketika ide angka 360 dan kemudian penulisan 3[6]0 yang menegaskan mengenai angka 30 dan 6, terasa sangat cocok dan mewakili pesan, perasaan dan kondisi kami saat ini”, ujar Alsa sang drummer, Minggu (28/1) di Erwin Gutawa Music Center, Jakarta.

“Ya, tahun lalu ketika kami menginjak usia 29, terasa luar biasa dan tidak percaya. Sekarang, bisa di usia ke-30 dan bisa merilis sebuah mini album, itu menjadi kebanggaan dan kebahagiaan baru lagi buat kami”, tambah Sigit (vokalis).

Mini album yang menyodorkan 5 lagu, yakni; Kisah Baru, Mantra Tenang, Keyakinan Hati, Move On, dan Cinta Sejati. Dimana, kelima lagu tersebut dengan kisahnya sendiri-sendiri, namun saling keterkaitan satu sama lain ini. Diharapkan, para pencinta musik sebaiknya mendengarkan secara berurutan karena cerita dan mood lagu yang disampaikan hadir sebagai sebuah siklus perjalanan hati.

“Kami berkarya. Masing-masing dari personil menyumbangkan lagunya, dan hasil dari proses seleksi, jadilah 5 lagu ini. Dan ternyata, setelah dilihat benang merah liriknya, memang ada semacam cerita di dalamnya”, jelas sang gitaris, Oni.

Sedangkan, Aris dan Alvin menambahkan, “Cerita yang ternyata juga menggambarkan perasaan atau perjalanan perasaan, hati, ketika menjalani dan merasakan cinta. Hal ini memang seperti disengaja, tapi, awalnya berjalan secara natural. Secara jujur. Dan itu yang kami rasa sangat kami banggakan.”

“Tak disangka kami bisa terus berkarya dan menciptakan karya original yang mudah-mudahan akan bisa diterima oleh banyak orang”, ujar Sita, yang merupakan personil dari formasi awal sejak 1994 bersama dengan Sigit dan Aris.

Alsa, personil termuda juga menegaskan, bahwa musikalitas Base Jam kali ini lebih mengikuti tren pendengar musik era kini yang berkembang, baik aransemen maupun sound yang digunakan, tanpa kehilangan karekter Base Jam yang sudah lama terbentuk.
