The Rain Merayakan Kenangan Dengan Merilis Ulang Lagu “Hit” Tempo Dulu

Urbannews | Inspirasi dalam menciptakan lagu bisa datang dari mana saja, bahkan dari hal-hal sederhana sebuah lagu bisa tercipta hingga menjadi karya berkualitas dan disukai banyak orang. Bahkan untuk beberapa penyanyi maupun itu grup, pengalaman bermusik pun menghasilkan inspirasi bahkan sebagian dari mereka memiliki kenangan tersendiri yang tak terlupakan.

Seperti halnya, The Rain kembali mencoba merekonstruksi ulang lagu hits “Terlatih Patah Hati” rilisan tahun 2013, versi akustik. Lagu hits ini, menurut mereka bisa dibilang sebagai sebuah titik balik dalam perjalanan bermusik juga kesuksesannya. Konon dalam perjalanannya, Terlatih Patah Hati sempat beberapa kali mengalami pergantian aransemen, seperti mengajak Stephan Santoso—produser dari album-album awal Padi dan Sheila on 7—untuk menjadi produser dalam penggarapan aransemennya.

The Rain juga pernah mengajak Endank Soekamti—sahabat seperjuangan mereka dari Yogyakarta—untuk mengisi beberapa bagian vokal di reffrain lagu tersebut. Nah! setelah rampung direkam, The Rain menawarkan masternya ke banyak perusahaan rekaman, namun tidak ada satu pun yang tertarik untuk membeli master rekaman tersebut.

Tak patah semangat, The Rain memutuskan untuk merilis Terlatih Patah Hati secara independen lewat bendera Heavy Rain Records, label yang didirikan secara patungan oleh keempat personel The Rain, Indra Prasta (vokal, gitar), Iwan Tanda (gitar, vokal), Ipul Bahri (bass, vokal) dan Aang Anggoro (drum, vokal).

Sebuah keputusan terbaik yang mereka ambil saat itu. Tak lama setelah dirilis, Terlatih Patah Hati mulai merajai chart radio di seluruh Indonesia, mendapatkan jutaan views di YouTube, membuat jadwal panggung The Rain padat kembali, serta membuka jalan untuk berbagai single berikutnya seperti lagu Gagal Bersembunyi dan Ujung pertemuan yang juga mendapatkan jutaan views di YouTube.

Kini, sepuluh tahun kemudian, Terlatih Patah Hati telah menjadi sebuah anthem. Sebuah soundtrack patah hati yang dinyanyikan dengan lantang, karena semangat yang dibawa oleh lagu ini adalah tentang menertawakan getirnya hidup. Tak menangisi harapan yang pupus, meski hati cedera serius. “Mantan itu untuk disyukuri, bukan disesali,” sebuah kalimat yang sering dilontarkan oleh Indra ketika The Rain membawakan lagu ini di panggung.

“The Rain merilis Terlatih Patah Hati versi akustik ini, sebagai sebuah ucapan terima kasih atas kebersamaan 10 tahun untuk semua orang yang menyukai lagu ini. Dan, kami baru menyadari beberapa waktu lalu, bahwa kami belum pernah merilis lagu ini dalam versi akustik.” jelas Iwan Tanda (gitar, vokal), Rabu (22/11/2023) di Jakarta.

Indra Prasta (vokal, gitar) menambahkan, dalam proses penggarapan aransemennya, The Rain menambahkan beberapa instrumen seperti violin dan akordeon agar nuansa akustiknya terasa lebih kental. Khusus untuk merekam seluruh track vokalnya, The Rain kembali ke Slingshot Studio, tempat di mana mereka merekam hampir seluruh bagian lagu Terlatih Patah Hati sepuluh tahun lalu.

“Proses mastering versi akustik lagu ini juga kembali dipercayakan pada Stephan Santoso, sosok yang bersama The Rain melahirkan Terlatih Patah Hati original version yang kita dengar selama ini,” ujar Indra.

Perilisan Terlatih Patah Hati (Acoustic Version) sekaligus menandai momen 22 tahun perjalanan The Rain yang jatuh di akhir tahun ini. “Andai kami menyerah saat itu, ketika tidak ada perusahaan rekaman yang mau merilis lagu Terlatih Patah Hati, mungkin kami tidak akan sampai di titik ini,” tukas Ipul.

Lalu, apa yang akan The Rain Jakukan setelah ini? “Selama kita masih bisa produktif, kita akan terus merekam dan merilis lagu baru, karena tiap lagu punya jalannya masing-masing,” tutup Aang.
